Biography

I am a woman and so I know what women want. For over thirty years I have owned my own company and have designed shoes and handbags for women all over the world. Why does a woman wear Beverly Feldman shoes? They make her feel beautiful. When a woman steps into BF shoes, she can be whoever she wants to be.
Women shop in my New York City and Ibiza stores to experience the fantasy I have created for them. I design all the shoes and handbags myself - 1500 patterns a year. The clothing and jewelry is what I personally wear for the season. When I shop for myself, I shop for the store at the same time - it's like my other closet. The difference is that in the world of Beverly Feldman, the shoe is the outfit and the clothes are the accessory.
When I was five years old, I wanted to be independent and have my own money. When I was nine years old, I wanted to move out of the house and so built my own little house on the front lawn. When I was fifteen, I wanted to be a shoe designer. I was born in a very small, conservative New England town and always wanted to be noticed and to create a sensation. This is how I design - to attract attention. Wanting to attract attention is primal for women. So is being glamorous and I them with both.
I have a few other obsessions besides shoes. One is dogs. I adore dogs and have created a most luxurious lifestyle for my pack of eleven dogs. They have drivers and maids, and a custom bedroom (mine). They rip my Wolfords, but stay away from my shoes. Everyone says men are dogs, but I believe dogs are better than men. They care for you when you are sick, they kiss you when you wake up in the morning and kiss you when you go to sleep. Most of all, they are faithful.
I live in the south of Spain, in another very small town, and keep a pied-a-terre in Manhattan. In Spain, my home and design studio is ten minutes from the Mediterranean, but I never see it as I am either designing or traveling most of the year. I have been designing for so long, you can find me under ‘Vintage' on Ebay. Three generations of women are now wearing Beverly Feldman shoes - grandmothers, mothers and daughters. We have customers who own over 50 pairs of Beverly Feldman shoes. The Beverly Feldman customer is anywhere from a 10 year old who wants to be older, to an 88 year old who wants to be younger.
