Cliffs, waves, Camariñas lace, rain... are essential points for the Creative Director of ModelNovias, Franco Quintáns. He was inspired by these elements as well as by a wide study about Galician customs and traditions in order to create ModelNovias 2011 collection.
From delicate tulle to lace shrugs, taffeta and silk satin- fabrics that are draped and puffed sculpting woman's body. This is the effect given by organza and gauze ruffles frilling from rising pleats, evoking waves crashing against the cliffs....tiers with ruffle accents and layers resembling the ones of traditional Galician robes, mantelos and basquiñas...
Bobbin lace embroidered with crystals...silk spaghettis straps joined to result in dream finishes for jackets, bodices and sashes...
Ivory is the main colour of the collection, providing the dresses with a classical and elegant style to thwart the chic baroque style present in the glamorous dresses. Red and black empower and stamp their mark on the collection, especially when used as total look.
Poppy flower, as a symbol of beauty which grows and holds out in adversity, puts the finishing touch of lightness and elegance to the collection. Dresses are made of silk fabrics and featured in the three colours of the collection: ivory, red and black; accompanied by delicate crystal flowers, which bring shine and light to the collection.
